FUTURISMO MANIFESTO 100X100

February 20 > May 17, 2009
curated by Achille Bonito Oliva

Macro Future

Organized by Zètema Progetto Cultura

We will celebrate the ample chests of locomotives, the sweeping flight of aeroplanes. And it is from Italy that we are launching this manifesto of overwhelming and incendiary violence with which we today found the concept of Futurism.

An exhibition featuring placards by Marinetti and others whom he encouraged to express themselves in all the various creative disciplines about sectors such as fashion and food.
The original placards displayed are linked to film clips specially created for the occasion providing a dynamic montage of phrases that featured on the placards and made such a real impact, together with sound effects and noises. The overall effect will be to envelop visitors in an audio-visual experience, stimulating sight and hearing to the extent that they will feel as if they are part of the placards themselves.
