On display about 40 works, including large canvases and sculptures in bronze and Murano glass by the Cuban artist Alfredo Sosabravo.

Alfredo Sosabravo's works on display at La Pelanda open a world full of magic and joy: considered to be one of the most important international artistic expressions where visual culture "territories" meet the interaction between different artistic languages.

The exhibition curated by René Palenzuela, represents an opportunity to enjoy about 40 works, including large canvases and sculptures in bronze and glass from Murano by the Cuban artist, a leading figure of Latin American arts. A mixture of Caribbean rhythms and colours of the new world, blending with traditional artistic techniques and ancestral codes.

Alfredo Sosabravo was born in Cuba in 1930. Painter, engraver, ceramist is considered one of the Cuban outstanding fine artists, he has won important awards in Cuba and abroad, among them, his country's highest cultural distinctions. His work is characterized by three main original themes: nature, the human being and the machine all drawn together in a complex aesthetic unit.
